Refund & Cancellation Policy

Summary

Cancel anytime. No refunds for past charges. When you cancel a paid subscription, you keep access until the end of the current billing period and you will not be charged again. We do not refund subscription fees that have already been paid, and we do not pro-rate partial months or years.

1. Subscription Billing

Job Cost Pro paid plans (Pro, Contractor, Business) are billed in advance — monthly or annually based on the plan you select at checkout. Each charge covers the upcoming billing period. All amounts are in US dollars and exclude any applicable taxes.

2. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Billing. When you cancel:

  • Your paid features remain active until the end of your current billing period.
  • You will not be charged for the next renewal.
  • Your account moves to the Free tier when the current period ends. Your data is preserved.
  • You can resubscribe at any time.

3. Refunds

Subscription fees are non-refundable. We do not issue refunds or credits for:

  • Partial months or years after cancellation.
  • Periods of non-use during an active subscription.
  • Plan downgrades mid-cycle (the new plan takes effect at the next renewal).
  • Annual plans cancelled before the term ends.

If you do not wish to be charged for the next billing period, cancel before your renewal date.

4. Exceptions

We will review refund requests on a case-by-case basis for the following situations only:

  • Duplicate charges caused by a billing system error.
  • Unauthorized charges resulting from confirmed account fraud.
  • Charges made in clear error on our part (e.g. a charge after a confirmed cancellation).

To request a review, email chris@jobcostpro.online within 30 days of the charge with your account email and the date and amount of the charge in question. We aim to respond within 5 business days.

5. Failed Payments

If a renewal payment fails, Stripe (our payment processor) will automatically retry the charge over a few days. If the payment still cannot be collected, your account will be moved to the Free tier and you will receive an email notification. You can update your payment method and resubscribe at any time.

6. Free Tier & Trials

The Free tier is permanently free for the limits described on the pricing page. There is no time-limited free trial of paid plans — instead, the Free tier lets you evaluate the app indefinitely before deciding to upgrade.

7. Chargebacks

If you have a billing concern, please contact us at chris@jobcostpro.online before initiating a chargeback with your card issuer. Chargebacks filed without first contacting us may result in account suspension and recovery of any chargeback fees we incur.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to your registered address at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of a paid subscription after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
